PEACE BY PIECE – Erasmus+ Training Course
PEACE BY PIECE aims to strengthen the conflict-resolution competences of youth workers by equipping them with practical peacebuilding tools, including Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and conflict transformation methods that can be applied in their everyday youth work and community activities.
The training also seeks to enhance intercultural competence and empathy, enabling youth workers to foster dialogue, mutual understanding, and cooperation across cultural, social, and generational differences.
Project Objectives
The objectives of the Project are:
- Strengthen conflict resolution competences of youth workers by training them in structured peacebuilding tools, including Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and conflict transformation methods they can apply in daily practice.
- Develop facilitation and dialogue skills of youth workers to enable them to create safe and inclusive spaces for young people, where diverse perspectives can be expressed constructively.
- Improve critical thinking and media literacy competences among youth workers, equipping them to guide young people.
- Improve intercultural competence and empathy skills of youth workers to foster understanding and cooperation across cultural, social, and generational divides.
- Build capacity in non-formal education methodology, ensuring youth workers can design, deliver, and evaluate educational activities that transfer peacebuilding skills to young people.
- Foster international cooperation and peer learning among youth workers, strengthening their ability to share practices, co-create resources, and apply European youth work standards in their organisations.
