Intercultural Competence

Developing intercultural competence is essential in today’s increasingly globalized & interconnected world, where individuals regularly interact across cultural boundaries in personal, professional, and social contexts. It contributes to a more peaceful and cooperative global community.

Intercultural competence:

  • allows for clearer and more respectful communication across cultural boundaries, reducing misunderstandings and conflicts.
  • is crucial for successful collaboration and achieving common goals.
  • contributes to social harmony and reduces prejudice and discrimination.
  • broadens perspectives, increase self-awareness, and contribute to personal development.
  • can lead to more creative and practical solutions to complex problems.

Our intercultural competence programs influence people to live lives that prioritize understanding, respecting, and navigating cultural differences in communication styles, values, behaviors, and social norms.

We enhance the ability of individuals to effectively and appropriately interact with people from different cultural backgrounds.

Through non-formal learning methodologies, we deliver training and workshops on cultural awareness, communication skills, and strategies for managing cultural differences.

Digital Competence

Digital competence is not a static set of skills but a dynamic and evolving one. It refers to the skills, knowledge, and attitudes required to effectively use digital technologies in various aspects of life, including communication, work, learning, and social participation. A key element of digital competence is the ability to critically evaluate digital content, use digital tools responsibly, and, most importantly, adapt to new technological developments.

As we navigate the complexities of the 21st century, digital competence emerges as a critical skill set. It impacts every aspect of our lives, from education and work to communication and civic engagement. The continuous evolution of technology demands that we adapt and enhance our skills and knowledge to use it effectively and responsibly. By developing solid digital competence, individuals can fully participate in the digital society, contribute to innovation, and navigate the complexities of the digital world with confidence and security.

Our mission to promote digital inclusion is powered by the EU-wide tool “The Digital Competence Framework for Citizens (DigComp)”. This framework provides a common understanding of the critical areas of digital competence in five dimensions, thereby playing a crucial role in our efforts to ensure the digital inclusion of the populace.

  • Information and data literacy: To articulate information needs and locate and retrieve digital data, information, and content. To store, manage, and organize digital data, information and content.
  • Communication and collaboration: To interact, communicate and collaborate through digital technologies while being aware of cultural and generational diversity.
  • Digital content creation: To create and edit digital content. To improve and integrate information and content into an existing body of knowledge while understanding how copyrights and licenses are applied.
  • Digital Safety: Protect devices, content, personal data and privacy in digital environments; protect physical and psychological health; be aware of digital technologies for social well-being and social inclusion; and be mindful of the environmental impact of digital technologies and their use.
  • Problem-solving: To identify needs and problems and resolve conceptual issues and concerns in digital environments.
