BCE Networking Dinner 2023
The maiden edition of our Business, Career, and Empowerment Network was successfully organised at Afrotopia on the 9th of September, 2023.
We had great presentations and conversations with the guest speakers: Ana Alvarez, CEO & Co-Founder at Migrapreneur, and Fridah Ntarangwi, Founding & Managing Director at Zidicircle.
The speakers shared the stories of their journey, challenges and motivations.
The networking dinner had the attendance of career professionals, students, and business owners, mostly of migrant backgrounds.
It was a great time to connect, learn and build new relationships over quality food.
The next edition will be organised in 2024.
Conference of African PhDs in Germany 2023
Following the successes of the first and second editions, the third edition of CAPiG was organised from the 4th to the 9th of September 2023.
Four days of online presentations, workshops, talks and panel discussions was followed by an in-person event in Hamburg.
The Conference, once again attracted participants from all over the globe including academics, industrialists, students, specialists and other interested persons.
The main goal of the 3rd edition of the conference was to prepare African Scholars to serve as a critical bridge for the development of Africa.
First African-German Doctoral Summer School
African Scholars – PhD candidates from across German Universities and Institutes converged at the Hamburg Research Academy from the 4th to 9th September 2023 for the maiden edition of the African-German Doctoral Summer School.
The Summer School which was designed to facilitate the academic excellence and social integration of the participants had the attendance of distinguished guest speakers; Academics, specialists, and civil actors.
The First African-German Doctoral Summer School was sponsored by the Hamburg Sozialbehörde and the Hamburg Research Academy.
